Dallas Does Indie Does Year End Album List
The interesting thing about year end album lists is that everyone's, and I mean everyone's looks different. I have looked over so many year end lists my eyes feel like they are going to fall out, and yet here I am creating my own. The fascination with "the list" for me is that it sparks conversation and inspires thought. I didn't publicly do one last year, but I had one in my head. I hope as you look over the list you find yourself with an opinion - not so much on whether my list is right or wrong, because without a doubt it will look wrong - but your opinion on what albums you loved this year. There were a lot of good ones. I didn't spend a whole lot of time on mine. I just typed out the albums I can remember listening to a lot and not growing tired of. I guess that's what I really like about a good album - it lasts.

Wha? No Rogue Wave?
Yeah, I was wondering if someone would mention that. Obviously I love them, but compared to their last two albums I didn't think I could put in 'em in my top 30. Maybe I will regret I don't know....
Your list is pretty great, many of which were among my more favored albums. What say you of Okkervil River, Blitzen Trapper, Panda Bear, Black Lips and Future of the Left, all albums that would fit nicely on your list?
Voxtrot from austin popped out their first LP before summer, they're amazing. You prob already know, but rogue wave is at Hailey's next Sat.
Okkervil River should have been on the list. That is a great album. Same with Black Lips, also great. I'm not as high on Panda Bear. There could be several others on the list too though. The Shins put out a pretty nice album in 2007, but that just seemed like an obvious choice, ya know?
